How Scene 8 was filmed

 Scene 8 consisted of three different camera shots, one of just Tyler, one of just Alex, and one overhead shot of the table. This overhead shot of the table was filmed over Tyler, who receives a paper back with a bad grade on the front. This is the first time that drinking has leaked into his school life, and in the next shot, Alex mentions Tyler looks hungover. Tyler was in a jacket with the hood over his head, disheveled hair, and a blank stare. As the dialogue progresses, the shots of Alex and Tyler alternated.
